The research work looks into “The Role of Supervision in the Development of Primary Schools Education in Suru Local Government Area, Kebbi State.” Three research questions were raised for the study, thus: (i) To what extent is primary schools supervision in Suru Local Government of Kebi state up to standard? (ii) To what extent does the Suru Local Government Educational Authority supports primary schools supervisory activities? (iii) To what extent does supervision exercise in Suru Local Government of Kebi state have impact on the overall development of the primary schools? The objectives of the study focus on finding answers to the research questions. The design and instrument employed for the research are descriptive survey and questionnaire respectively. A set of questionnaires is framed and administered to teachers and headmasters. Both the questionnaires are designed in such a way as to provide information relevant to answer the three research questions. The major findings of the study reveals that, the supervision exercise I some local government, Kebbi State have impact on the overall development of primary schools. hence it is recommended, among others, that the local government Educational Authority should improve on the standard of primary school supervision exercise and provide more training to the supervisors.
